Christmas Break

We’re taking a few days off now for Christmas. You can still post your ads as normal- they will be approved by DEC 27th at the latest. New year's eve and New Year's Day may also be slightly delayed! (REMEMBER- the Prefired admin team are unpaid volunteers who have earned a break!)

Thanks to everyone who has supported the site this year. It’s been another tough year for Airsoft but we got through it.

Welcome to the New Site!

We're still under construction but take a look around!

As you can tell, the site isn't finished yet, and we're still working out some kinks. That said it's working 100% better than the old one so we've brought it into action early. Our site URL is basically the same, but now we're a CO.UK

We've migrated your user accounts across, so you should be able to log in as usual.

There are a few differences in the way this new site works. Firstly we've done away with the the Private message system as this proved unreliable. Messages will now go straight to your email inbox where you can simply reply to the email, so make sure you whitelist webmaster@prefired.co.uk

Don't worry if you still have conversations/sales ongoing on the old system, it'll still be there for a little while longer.

Rules for Ad Images

Guntags and Ad moderation In order to be listed on Prefired, all sale ads must have a Guntag displayed next to the item you have for sale A Guntag is Prefired lingo for a piece of paper with your FULL Prefired user name and the upload date on it. You must place this alongside your item/s when photographing them for your listings (see above image). This applies to all for sale ads, including accessories and parts. Check your username here under "Account Information" - If what you write on the card doesn't match this, your ad will be declined! This applies to all for sale ads, including accessories and parts. Upload your Mugshot!

Due to popular demand we have finally added the ability for you to upload your own profile images in place of the standard Gravatar pictures Prefired has used up until now. You asked for it, now you've got it! But please... Keep it clean. To change your profile image go to prefired.co.uk/edit-profile/ Click on "Choose image", select and upload the image you want to use the click "Update Profile". That's it. You'll now be on show to the world in all your glory!

How to beat the Airsoft Scammers

The Scammers of the Internet seem to have become aware of the Airsoft community lately, with a noticeable increase in reports of people being conned on social media, forums etc. They've obviously worked out that the value of used Airsoft guns is fairly high, and they could stand to make a fair bit of money from us. It seems that the current method is to sell an item to an unsuspecting buyer, then trick them into using an unprotected payment method such as a Bank Transfer, PayPal "Friends and Family" or a Paypal money "pool" rather than a normal PayPal address. You should only use these methods if you know someone personally and know you can trust them. The item often isn't even theirs to sell, as in many cases the auction text and images are stolen from elsewhere on the net (which is why sellers must comply with our image rules). August Update and New Features

Hi everyone, as the site is now two weeks old we thought it'd be a good time to give you a little update. We've had a fair number of ads placed, and a few sales, and we'd like to say a big thank you to all that have posted ads so far. The more people that get behind the site the easier it will be to sell your items- so share the site and tell your mates! We've been listening to Airsofters feedback about the site, and have a few big changes in the works based on what you guys have been saying. We're not ready to go on those yet so they'll have to be kept under wraps for now! Until then though, we have a mini image and media upgrade! A picture paints...
