A Little Heads‑Up from HQ: Mods on Holiday (Sort Of), You Lot in Charge!

A Little Heads‑Up from HQ: Mods on Holiday (Sort Of), You Lot in Charge!

TLDR:

Announcement post for those who can read 🙂

Right then, gather round, team- it’s announcement time, and no, we’re not launching a new line of tactical tea cosies (yet). We’ve had a few unforeseen hiccups behind the scenes, and as a result our moderators and support staff will be offline for about a week or so.

Before you panic:
No, the site isn’t going anywhere.
Yes, you can still post your ads.
No, we haven’t been taken hostage by rival Nerf enthusiasts.

What’s Changing?
For this short period, the site will switch to immediate ad posting. That means your listings will go live straight away- no moderation queue, no waiting for approval, no “why hasn’t my ad appeared yet?” messages.
Speaking of messages…
Email Support will be temporarily unavailable.
Our inbox will be having a little nap during this downtime. If you send an email, it will sit there quietly, wondering where everyone’s gone, until we return.

While We’re Away: Be Excellent to Each Other
We trust you lovely lot to behave yourselves.
Please:

  • Follow the site rules
  • Keep things civil
  • Look after each other
  • Resist the urge to test how much chaos you could cause
Think of it like being left home alone for the weekend- except instead of throwing a wild party, we’d really appreciate it if you didn’t set anything on fire.
  • A Word on Scammers
Whenever the grown ups go out, there’s always someone who thinks it’s a good time to try something dodgy. Please stay alert for:
  • Suspicious listings
  • Too good to be true deals
  • New accounts acting a bit “off”
If you spot anything that smells fishy, report it via the Contact Us link as usual. Those reports still get logged, and we’ll deal with them the moment we’re back.
  • In Short
We’re stepping away for a week or so, but the site stays open. Ads go live instantly. Email support is snoozing. You lot are in charge, so be sensible, be safe, and don’t let the scammers have a field day.
Thanks for your patience, your humour, and your continued ability to not turn the place into the Wild West. We’ll be back before you know it.
