For sale, a Marushin M1 Garand “Tanker” 8mm gas blowback rifle
I brought this boneyard with the intention of resurrecting it, but unfortunately too many parts are missing, which is a damn shame as it would’ve been a lovely rifle.
Story is the previous owner attempted to fix the nozzle that had broken, starting taking it apart, but realised it was beyond his skill and gave up. It was left in a shed for years, and the parts that he removed vanished. These seem to be the connecting bars from the side (pictured), meaning unless you can source/make these parts it’s now pretty much a wall hanger.
The trigger/hammer unit is complete and working.
Would make an excellent prop or parts gun if you already have one, or want to covert yours to a “Tanker” length.
I have sanded and refinished the stock as it was battered and dented. It’s not the greatest finish but looks a damn sight better than it did! It shows the grain a bit better anyway 😉
Comes with 1 clip/mag, incase you did get it running.
